El Vigía Award for the Best Multimodal Initiative

22 of November of 2018

We are pleased to announce the result of the jury decision of the XX Prizes of El Vigía, which has resolved today to distinguish our company Tomás Expediciones in the category of Best Multimodal Initiative Award.

The jury of the awards, which has evaluated the merits of a total of 40 applications, is composed of nine prominent personalities of the sector: the former Minister of the Generalitat Pere Macias, today president of the Cercle d'Infraestructures de Catalunya; Ana González, president of the CEL; Juan Lema, former president of Aena and Tecniberia; José Ramón Obeso, president of Combiberia; Blanca Sorigué, director of SIL and Consorci de la Zona Franca; Carmelo González, president of the National Road Transport Committee; Ignasi Sayol, president of Pimec Logística; Joaquim Coello, president of Asoport and former president of the port of Barcelona; and Jordi Hereu, former mayor of Barcelona and president of IdenCity.

The candidacy of Tomás Expediciones, presented by the jury, in the category of Best Multimodal Initiative Award is justified with this argument: "By consolidating its commitment to intermodal transport, which has converted its frozen meat rail service into regular traffic to Germany, started in 2016, and undertake other multimodal routes such as the transport of fruit and vegetables between the south of the Peninsula and Sweden or Finland ".
